Step by Step
Discover why the Okanagan Valley is one of Canada's most renowned wine destinations as you e-bike along back roads and lakeside trails. The tour starts at Lakeside Eco-Sports, where you'll pick up your e-bike, helmet and mobile phone holder.
After a brief instruction on how to operate the e-bike, you'll start your navigation app and head to Hidden Vines Family Estate, a sustainable winery that grows its own vineyards using environmentally friendly practices.
The second stop will take you to SpearHead Winery, a boutique winery owned by the Priest Creek family that produces small batches of whites, rosés and barrel-aged reds. Here you'll enjoy an intimate tasting, learning about the artisanal production philosophy and the nuances of each varietal.
Then pedal on to Meadow Vista Honey Wines, where the focus is on mead - honey wines made from local ingredients that have won awards in several competitions. A farm-to-table lunch awaits you on the vineyard terrace, with a main course prepared with fresh local produce and panoramic views of the valley.
During the tour, the app will narrate historical facts, safety tips and photo recommendations at viewpoints in Boyce-Gyro Beach Park and on the drive along Okanagan Lake. At the end of the ride, you'll return to Lakeside Eco-Sports, where you'll return your bike after an experience that combines sport, wine and food.
This self-guided format gives you the flexibility to stop and explore, buy wine directly from the wineries or simply enjoy the scenery without rushing. Plus, you save the cost and complexity of renting an e-bike separately: everything is included in the same package.
