Prague Castle Tickets

A host will be waiting for you next to St Vitus Cathedral, in Courtyard III, to hand over your pre-booked tickets when you present your voucher. Before you begin, you’ll receive a brief introduction to the complex and some tips to help you find your way around and make the most of your visit.

Founded around 880 by Prince Bořivoj, Prague Castle encapsulates centuries of Czech history within a vast complex of palaces, churches, towers and courtyards. During the tour, you’ll explore some of its most notable sites:

• St Vitus Cathedral, one of the most important religious buildings in the Czech Republic.
• The Old Royal Palace, the former residence of the rulers of Bohemia.
• St George’s Basilica, one of the complex’s finest examples of Romanesque architecture.
• The Golden Lane, a picturesque street lined with small historic houses.

If you choose the option with augmented reality glasses, you’ll add a 40-minute technological experience to your visit, exploring the exterior of Prague Castle. After a brief introduction, you’ll be given the smart glasses and begin a tour where history blends with the real surroundings: you’ll see how lost architectural features reappear and how key moments from the past come to life.

This option allows you to combine a traditional tour of the castle’s main interiors with a different way of interpreting its history, using digital images and recreations superimposed onto the scene before you.
