Step by Step
Annecy, known as the "Venice of the Alps", combines a pastel old town with a crystal-clear lake and a rich culinary heritage. On this 3h 30 min tour, you will start by the Pont des Amours, with panoramic views of the lake, while your guide introduces you to Savoyard gastronomic traditions, such as the use of truffles in mountain recipes.
The first stop will take you to the Quai de l'Île, where you will discover why the truffle has become a revered ingredient throughout France and savour a bite that combines this underground treasure with local, seasonal ingredients.
Next, you'll visit Saint-Pierre Cathedral, where you'll enjoy a generous helping of Tartiflette - that rustic gratin of Reblochon cheese, potato and bacon - a dish that embodies the essence of mountain food and will surprise you with its creaminess and richness of flavour.
Your tour continues with a tasting of Savoyard cheeses accompanied by a glass of génépi, the aromatic mountain liqueur that cleanses the palate between each mouthful. You will understand why local cheeses are a fundamental pillar of the Savoyard identity.
To top it all off, you'll stroll through the Place des Cordeliers and its charming patisserie, where you can choose your favourite pastry: croissants, fruit tarts or macarons. Finally, head down Rue Président Favre to an artisan chocolate boutique, with chocolates of unique origin and innovative flavours, perfect for a final indulgence.
