Step by Step
Discover the most symbolic sites of the D-Day landings aboard an elegant vintage sidecar, in an immersive experience steeped in history. This private tour from Bayeux will take you to relive one of the most momentous moments of the 20th century from a completely different and exciting perspective.
Your adventure begins in Bayeux, where you will meet your driver-guide, known as "Gentleman Sider", who will equip you with a helmet, retro glasses, gloves and a mackintosh. Along the route you'll travel along country roads where Allied troops once advanced, enjoying the scenery while listening to anecdotes and historical explanations.
Stops include Omaha Beach, scene of one of the fiercest landings of D-Day. You'll feel the thrill of walking on the very beach where thousands of soldiers fought bravely. Then, at the American Cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer, a place of recollection overlooking the sea, you will pay tribute to the fallen amidst rows of white crosses.
If time permits, you can also visit Port-en-Bessin, a strategic point during Operation Overlord. The tour ends with a return to Bayeux, bringing to a close an experience that is as educational as it is exciting.
With a maximum of 2 people per sidecar and up to 12 people per group, this is an exclusive activity designed for those who wish to connect deeply with the history of the Second World War in an authentic and original way.
