Step by Step
Océanopolis in Brest is one of the great European references to understand and feel the ocean without diving: with more than 4 million litres of seawater, 77 aquariums and 1,000 species, it offers a journey from the tropics to the cold poles in one place. This skip-the-line entrance allows you to skip the wait and start your exploration from the very first minute.
In the tropical zone, be amazed by a warm ecosystem at 25°C where colourful fish swim, a recreated coral reef and sharks in their environment, observing how they behave in their "habitat" while learning about their ecology.
The Brittany section simulates seasons with natural light and houses 42 aquariums reflecting local marine life; it's a bridge between the visitor and contemporary environmental challenges. Also, don't miss the areas dedicated to European and sea otters, whose play and behaviour capture the attention and affection of those who observe them.
