Step by Step
Discover the majesty of French Champagne in a different way: aboard a charming vintage Renault Estafette van. The tour starts in front of the Épernay Tourist Office, where you will be welcomed and prepared for a journey through the most famous cellars and hills.
First, you will walk along the famous Avenue de Champagne, passing historic houses such as Moët & Chandon, Pol Roger and Mercier. There you will discover the 100 km network of underground galleries that house millions of bottles resting in the dark.
Next, you'll head to picturesque Aÿ-Champagne, where you'll stroll through vineyards and learn first-hand about pruning and harvesting during a 1-hour photo stop. You will learn how the unique climate and soil of this area enhance the quality of the grapes.
Then, you will discover the Grand Cru of Oger by visiting the cellar of a family producer. They will explain the entire process, from fermentation to disgorgement, and you will see the traditional presses and tanks that bring champagne to life.
To top it all off, you'll celebrate the experience with three champagne tastings in the cellar itself, learning to distinguish the aromas and flavours that make each bottle unique. After the toast, you will return to Épernay full of bubbly memories and unforgettable anecdotes.
