The two theme parks that make up Disneyland Paris are open every day of the year, but opening hours vary depending on the season and each of the parks. Therefore, when planning your visit and buying your tickets for Disneyland Paris, I advise you to check the opening hours first.

The most important thing to know is that Disneyland Paris only publishes the opening hours for both parks three months in advance, so to get the latest updates to the calendar, I recommend downloading the official theme park app to your mobile phone, which is available for Android and iOS.

Depending on the expected number of visitors on certain days of the week or in certain months of the year, the opening hours are extended or reduced to make the most of the attractions and shows in each of the two parks. Below is a summary of the currently published opening hours.

Disneyland Park Opening Hours

  • High season

Every day from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30-11:00 p.m. (depending on the month)

  • Low season

Disneyland Paris is open every day of the year, but opening hours may vary depending on the season and special events such as Christmas, Halloween or Easter. During these periods, both parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, usually extend their opening hours, but to plan your visit, it is best to check the specific opening hours on the Disneyland Paris app as the date approaches.

When is the best time of year to visit Disneyland Paris?

If you want to avoid the crowds at Disneyland Paris, the best time to visit is from mid-January to mid-March or from mid-April to mid-May. However, during these periods there may be fewer events and shows scheduled.

If you want to enjoy the full Disneyland Paris experience, with as many attractions, shows and events as possible, the best time to visit the theme park is during the summer months and special seasons such as Christmas, Halloween, New Year's Eve or Disney's Magical Fireworks and Bonfire.

In return, you will have to share the park with more visitors and the waiting times for the attractions may be longer. Patience!

Which days are less crowded at Disneyland Paris?

Naturally, the days when there are usually fewer people are weekdays. Waiting times are quite short for rides from Monday to Friday. The most popular rides take around 15 minutes at most, while for the rest you'll be in the queue for about 5 minutes at most.

At weekends, the situation changes completely and Disneyland Paris is packed to the rafters. Waiting times for rides are longer. On Saturdays, it can take between 45 and 90 minutes for the most popular ones, while on Sundays it can take between 15 and 45 minutes.

If you would like to be among the first people to enter Disneyland Paris on the day of your visit, there is a very exclusive option that will allow you to enter before the official opening time when they open to the general public: book the Extra Magic Time service (available to Disney hotel guests and Infinity pass holders).

With the Extra Magic Time service, you can enter every morning at 8:30 a.m. to enjoy the theme park's attractions before anyone else and be among the first to take a photo with the friendly characters from the Disney universe. The rest can do so from 9:00 or 9:30 a.m., as applicable.

Disney Village opens every day at 7:30 a.m. and is one of the areas of Disneyland Paris where you can take a break from all the fun.

It is full of restaurants, shops, bars and areas where shows for the whole family are held. The perfect place to keep the party going when you want a change of scenery!

You'll find it between Disneyland Park, the Disney hotels and Walt Disney Studios Park. Disney Village usually closes around 12:00 a.m. or 1:00 a.m. You can find more information about opening hours on the Disneyland website.

The best way to enjoy the park is without rushing. To see both Disneyland Paris and Disney Studios properly, you need at least two days, as they are two large theme parks with many shows to attend, many attractions to ride and many things to enjoy.

However, if you have a very busy schedule and are only going to be there for one day, my advice is to choose one of the two, especially Disneyland Paris if it is your first time in the city.

How can I save time in the queues at Disneyland Paris?

At the ticket office

When you visit a place as fun and exciting as Disneyland Paris, you want to get in as soon as possible to have a good time and not waste time queuing for miles at the ticket office to buy tickets.

This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris, so if you want to save time waiting in line at the ticket office and avoid getting tired before you even get on all the rides in the park, my advice is to buy your tickets to Disneyland Paris online and in advance. You'll avoid the hassle and start having fun there from the very first minute!

At the attractions

The best way to avoid queues at the theme park's attractions, or at least reduce waiting times as much as possible, is to purchase a Disneyland Paris FastPass.

The price of this FastPass may be a little more than a general admission ticket, but it's worth it if you're not very patient or if you plan to spend only one day at Disney parks or two days at Disney parks in the park.

If you are going to be spending more days at Disneyland Paris (around 3 days at Disneyland or 4 days at Disneyland), you may not be so interested.

Check the most and least crowded attractions in real time

A trick to save time in the queues at Disneyland Paris attractions is to download the Disneyland Wait Times app (available for Android and iOS) to your phone, which alerts you in real time to which attractions are more or less crowded at any given time.

I recommend it because it is quite useful for planning your route through Disneyland Paris.
