Specifically, the Pantheon is Rome’s best-preserved temple and also houses the tomb of Raphael Sanzio, one of the great heroes of the Renaissance. Originally, the Pantheon was a pagan temple, but in the year 608 it was converted into a Christian church and, in the 20th century, became the final resting place of the kings of Italy.

Meanwhile, the Church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva is of great significance as it houses the tombs of five popes, including two members of the Florentine Medici family. During your visit to this church, you’ll also admire marble worksby Michelangelo and Bernini, as well as paintings by Filippino Lippi. Furthermore, next to the church, you’ll walk past the Dominican friary where the scientist Galileo was put on trial in the 17th century.

At both of these monuments, you’ll discover stories from different eras that will give you an insight into the changes the city has undergone over the years. You’ll also admire works of art by iconic, world-renowned artists.

We would have liked the tour to be a little longer, we felt that the time went by very quickly. But we are still very happy, it was a great experience.

These tours always bring a smile to my face. I went with my family and the five of us came back more than happy to have seen a place like the Pantheon, accompanied by the guide who told us incredible stories that we had never heard before.
