Immerse yourself in one of the world's most famous museum complexes with this guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. During this English-language tour, you'll gain skip-the-line access to the main rooms of the museum, accompanied by an expert guide who will share with you the stories behind the most iconic works of Western art.
The tour begins with an introduction in the Pineapple Courtyard, which overlooks the imposing St. Peter's Dome. Then, you will enter the Pio-Clementine and Chiaramonti Museum, home to sculptures such as the Apollo of Belvedere and the Laocoön. You will also visit the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps, with its fascinating 16th-century topographical frescoes.
If capacity permits, you will also visit the Raphael Rooms and the Borgia Rooms, where you can see the famous painting The School of Athens. The highlight of the tour is the Sistine Chapel, with its impressive ceiling painted by Michelangelo and the Last Judgement.
