When you arrive at the Kanmon Gate West Building, head to the 31st floor to access the Mojiko Retro Observatory, designed by renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa. The lift will take you in seconds to a glassed-in space offering a 360-degree view of the strait and the city.
During the day, the observatory gives you the opportunity to watch the ships crossing the waters of the Kanmon Strait and appreciate the retro architecture of Mojiko's red brick warehouses.
When night falls, the city lights and special lighting turn the landscape into a magical spectacle that is part of the "Heritage of Japan Night View".
