Step by Step
The 1-day Osaka Amazing Pass is one of the most convenient ways to explore the city if you want to combine transport and sightseeing in a single day. The pass allows unlimited use of the included Osaka Metro lines , city buses and various private railway companies, making it easy to get around between the main neighbourhoods and places of interest.
As well as transport, you’ll have access to around 40 participating attractions, with one visit per venue on the day of use. Options include the Osaka Castle Museum, Tennoji Zoo, various areas of Tsutenkaku and the Umeda Sky Building Kuchu-Teien Observatory, to which the pass grants access until 15:00.
The pass also allows you to enjoy Osaka from the water. You can board the Tombori River Cruise, which tours the Dotonbori area, or the Osaka-jo Gozabune, a sightseeing boat next to Osaka Castle. Some of these experiences require you to exchange the pass for a boarding pass in advance or book a time slot, so it’s best to organise your itinerary beforehand.
Everything works via a digital pass with a QR code, which you can use directly at compatible transport turnstiles and at participating attractions. It’s a particularly good option if you’re planning to visit several places in a single day and want to get around Osaka without constantly buying individual tickets.
Reviews
- PP.Easy to use and quite comprehensive. For a day in Osaka, it gave us exactly what we needed: transport and several interesting visits.
- AA.It helped us put together a fairly comprehensive itinerary. Checking the details of some attractions beforehand is very helpful, especially the opening hours.
- MM.A great way to get around Osaka without any hassle. The best bit was being able to combine different neighbourhoods, the metro and sightseeing all in a single day.
- LL.A good experience, although I had to turn up the brightness on my mobile several times to read the QR code properly. Otherwise, it was convenient.
