Step by Step

Discover a revolutionary concept of aquatic entertainment in the heart of Odaiba with your ticket to the Gakyo Aquarium. This artistic experience combines the delicacy of marine nature with the visual splendour of Japanese tradition, offering total immersion in landscapes inspired by ancient myths and cultures.

As you walk through its five distinct zones, you will witness scenes such as the magical Ryugu Castle, a kaleidoscope of lights and reflections, or the lavish Oiran Dochu procession. Each space has been designed to stimulate the senses, in an atmosphere that blends the dreamlike with the natural.

One of the most special moments of the tour is in the "Oiran" area, where you can see nine types of Japanese goldfish carefully selected by the renowned Nobuyuki Yoshida. These creatures, with their unique colours and shapes, are considered living works of art.

A pleasant experience for ages 4+; younger children enjoy it very much, although some areas can be overwhelming.

Ideal if you like aquariums but also artistic; it's not just biology, it's design, light and atmosphere.

I would have liked the maps of the hinterland to be clearer; in some areas it is not clear which way to go.
