The experience begins with watching a professional ceremony, where you will see up close the delicate movements and rituals that make up this art. You will then learn how to prepare your own matcha tea, accompanied by traditional sweets that enhance the flavour and balance of the drink.
You will be dressed in an authentic kimono or yukata, depending on the season, and receive a brief guide on how to walk, sit and move gracefully, just as the Japanese do during these ceremonies. The kimonos offered are made of traditional silk, which gives a genuine and distinguished touch to the whole activity.
During the experience, photos will be taken with an iPhone 14 Pro, both in the tea room and at a nearby shrine, where you will pose with your kimono in the traditional style. These images will be a beautiful souvenir of your visit to Japan. If you wish, you can hire a professional photographer or a hair and make-up service for an additional cost.
