Step by Step
Visit the Pyrenees, one of Spain’s largest mountain ranges which separates it from France, on this one-day excursion. The excursion departs from Barcelona and the journey covers a total of around 70 kilometres. All transfers for this excursion are included in an air-conditioned minibus, so you can leave all your worries behind.
A tour guide will accompany you both during the journey and throughout the excursion. They will explain some of Barcelona’s history, what you can see in the landscape along the way, as well as the history of the small Pyrenean villages you visit. You’ll learn all this whilst being part of a small group, ensuring the guide’s attention is more personalised. Specifically, groups consist of around 16 people.
Some of the most iconic villages you’ll visit include Vic and Queralbs. Vic stands out as an ancient medieval town with a cathedral and buildings that blend architectural styles such as Romanesque, Renaissance and Baroque. You’ll also visit its ancient Roman temple and the old market, which is still in use today.
You’ll also visit Queralbs, a much more rural village nestled in the mountains. Queralbs is situated in the Nuria Valley, and on this excursion you’ll travel to the summit of Nuria by rack railway. Once you reach the top, you’ll have free time to do as you please. You can explore the mountains, go horse-riding or enjoy a meal at one of the traditional Catalan restaurants.
Reviews
- FF.Nuria is a charming little town and the people are very friendly.
- MM.This trip was quite relaxing and I will probably do it again before the end of the year. I would like to visit the Pyrenees from the French side.
- GG.There were no public toilets nearby. The guide was good and the place was very nice.
- DD.Going in winter was the best decision I could have made because the scenery is simply different from summer. The snow gives it a different touch.
