Step by Step
Immerse yourself in Granada's most fascinating origins with this free walking tour of the Albaicín and Sacromonte, two neighbourhoods full of history, legend and charm. This activity is perfect for those who want to understand the cultural roots of the city through its most picturesque and authentic streets.
The tour starts in the central Plaza Santa Ana, from where you will enter the narrow streets of the Albaicín. You'll stroll among the cisterns, cisterns and whitewashed houses, discovering what life was like in the Muslim era. One of the highlights is the arrival at the Mirador de San Nicolás, from where you will be able to contemplate one of the most iconic views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada.
The tour continues to Sacromonte, known for its Flemish tradition and its dwellings carved into the rock. This neighbourhood is a symbol of Granada's gypsy culture and one of the cradles of the purest flamenco. Here you will have the opportunity to enter a traditional cave house, understanding first-hand how life was (and still is) lived in these unique constructions.
Throughout the tour, the guide will tell you stories, legends and anecdotes that bring each corner to life. All this while you enjoy the open air, the charm of the viewpoints and the rich heritage of a city that never ceases to amaze.
How does a free tour work?
A free tour is a guided walking tour without a fixed price. At the end of the tour, it is you yourself who will evaluate the quality of the service with your contribution to the guide.
