Soller and Valldemosa Day Trip in Mallorca

This guided tour lasts approximately 8 hours and takes place on board an air-conditioned coach. It includes hotel pick-up, but if you are staying outside Palma de Mallorca or in an area not covered by the service, you will be given details of an easily accessible pick-up point.

Usually, the first stop is Valldemossa, a charming village just 17 km from Palma de Mallorca. As well as the valley’s natural beauty, it is well worth a visit to explore buildings such as the Royal Carthusian Monastery, a large complex featuring an old pharmacy, a cloister, a church and two museums.

Valldemossa is one of the prettiest villages in Spain and boasts attractions such as the Church of San Bartolomé and the Palace of King Sancho. It’s also well worth admiring the views from the Miranda des Lledoners viewpoint and trying the ‘coca de patata’, the local culinary speciality.

After the visit, the coach will travel through the Sierra de la Tramuntana, 90 km of valleys, lush forests and peaks rising to over 1,300 metres. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and encompasses 20 municipalities. Before reaching Sóller, you’ll pass through two of the most picturesque: Deià and Llucalcari.

The coach will also stop at Sa Foradada, a headland jutting out into the Mediterranean Sea. Finally, you’ll arrive in Sóller, the town of oranges. A sweet variety, introduced by the Arabs, is grown in the valley and remains one of the town’s main economic drivers.

At its heart lies the Plaza de la Constitución, home to the town’s most important buildings: the Church of San Bartolomé; the Banco de Sóller, built in the Modernist style; and the Town Hall, as well as bars and restaurants. The tour includes a ride on the historic tram that connects the railway station and the harbour. Please note that the order of the stops may vary. You’ll need to do a bit of walking during the tour, so it’s best to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
