Step by Step
As soon as you adjust your helmet and saddle height, the guide explains how to use the electric assistance to make Vigo's slopes a breeze. In a few minutes you'll be riding along the bike lanes that border the estuary, with views of the Rande Bridge and the mussel farms where Galicia's most famous mussels are raised.
The route continues towards the Castro, an ancient Celtic fortress overlooking the entire port area. Among pine and eucalyptus trees, the guide shares stories of corsairs, canneries and the tides that shaped the city. Thanks to the electric motor, the climbs feel like flat terrain and allow you to concentrate on the panoramic views.
On the way back to the centre, you meander through the narrow streets of the old town, discover sculptures such as the Siren and stop for a tapa of empanada or a coffee if the group wishes. Each stretch is adapted to your interests: more history, more nature or more photos, you decide.
The last sprint takes you along the promenade to Samil beach, where the Atlantic breaks just a few metres from the bike path. With the sunset gilding the water (16:00 departures), you'll understand why Vigo boasts some of the most spectacular sunsets in Galicia. After 25-30 km covered effortlessly, you return to the starting point with a battery full of memories (and your camera too).
