This full day tour of Taichung is the perfect way to see Taichung's main attractions without worrying about transfers. The tour is designed to combine nature, culture and art, and is suitable for both summer and winter.
First stop is the Zhongshe Tourist Flower Market, a colourful garden that changes with the seasons and offers endless photo opportunities amidst tulips, sunflowers and other seasonal flowers.
Continue to Miyahara, a restored historic building that now houses a famous ice cream and chocolate shop. A short walk away is the Fourth Credit Union, another charming place where you can learn about the local history and enjoy the beautiful architecture.
Next experience Rainbow Village, a small but vibrant neighbourhood painted by local artist Huang Yung-Fu. His colourful murals have made this place an artistic and photographic icon of Taichung.
Finally, the tour will take you to the Gaomei Wetland, an ecological treasure with wooden walkways from where you will observe local birds, flora and fauna. In the evening, its sunsets are considered some of the most spectacular in Taiwan.
