Step by Step

Enjoy a full day's sightseeing in the north of Scotland on this tour from Edinburgh to St Andrews and the fishing villages of Fife, an experience that combines heritage, coastal scenery and Scottish legends.

The adventure begins by crossing the mighty Forth Bridge, an engineering landmark and one of the country's most recognisable sights. From there, we enter the historic Kingdom of Fife, passing through Aberdour before continuing along the east coast, known as the East Neuk of Fife, famous for its fishing villages and natural beauty.

Along the way you will visit some of the most picturesque places in the region:

  • Anstruther, with its charming harbour and the National Fisheries Museum of Scotland.
  • Pittenweem, Crail and St Monans, former fishing villages that thrived on the European maritime trade.
  • St Andrews, the jewel of the day: a medieval town steeped in history, home to Scotland's oldest university, the world's most famous golf course and the remains of a majestic waterfront cathedral.
  • Falkland, a photo stop in this picturesque village that served as a location for the Outlander series.
  • Loch Leven and South Queensferry, combining nature, history and a last view of the Forth Bridge before returning to Edinburgh.

In St Andrews you will have approximately three hours of free time to explore its cobbled streets, visit monuments, enjoy its university atmosphere and have lunch in one of its cosy cafés or restaurants.

The tour takes place in a modern, air-conditioned coach, accompanied by an expert driver-guide (in English) who will tell you interesting facts, historical anecdotes and local legends. In addition, you will have digital translations with guides written in several languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Mandarin Chinese) to follow the tour comfortably.
