Step by Step

Sky Garden takes on a different atmosphere as night falls. Situated on the upper floors of the building at 20 Fenchurch Street – the popular ‘Walkie-Talkie’ – this large indoor garden becomes the setting for evenings of music with stunning views over London.

During your visit, you can stroll through its green spaces, step up to the large windows and admire the city lights from different angles. Among the landmarks visible from above are The Shard, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, as well as the city’s skyline.

The soundtrack for the evening is provided by live performances or DJ sets, depending on the programme. The music, the city lights and the Sky Garden’s greenery create an atmosphere designed more for enjoying a special evening than for a conventional sightseeing visit.

On arrival, you’ll be served a glass of Moët champagne, though a non-alcoholic alternative is also available. You can then enjoy the experience whilst standing and explore the various indoor areas to find your favourite view of the skyline.

The ticket also includes a downloadable audio guide to help you learn more about the Sky Garden and identify some of the main buildings and monuments visible from the viewing platform. It’s a useful addition to put the views into context as you explore the space at your own pace. The outdoor terrace isn’t part of this evening experience, but the large windows mean you can still enjoy the panorama from inside.
