Every winter, Zoo Atlanta dresses up in light for IllumiNights, one of the most spectacular holiday experiences in the southern United States. With your special ticket, you can tour the zoo between 5:30pm and 9:30pm, when the gates open exclusively for this night-time event.

The approximately 1.5-kilometre tour takes you through a magical trail lined with handcrafted lanterns depicting animals from around the world and illuminated nature scenes. From tigers and giraffes to sea creatures and tropical birds, each figure is carefully designed to glow with the spirit of the season.

While you enjoy the ride, you can sample hot cocoa or holiday cocktails (21+), roast marshmallows by the bonfire or simply soak up the warm, festive atmosphere that fills every corner of the park. It's perfect for families, couples and groups of friends.

This event is independent of daytime admission, as the real zoo animals retire before dusk. IllumiNights turns that nighttime silence into pure visual fantasy, allowing visitors to enjoy a completely different perspective of Zoo Atlanta.
