Step by Step

In the heart of Kansas City's arts district, Madison Stitch opens its doors for a fun, hands-on experience. Upon arrival, your instructor will tell you the history of the local fashion industry, highlighting how the city has been the birthplace of designers and workshops that propelled the industry forward.

Next, you'll sit at a workbench equipped with tools and sewing machines, all provided by the studio. You will choose between creating a set of earrings, a bracelet or a miniature card holder, learning how to cut, assemble and finish each piece professionally.

While you work, you'll taste a selection of beers, wines or ciders made by brewers and wineries located just one or two blocks from the studio. This farm-to-table tasting enhances the experience and further connects you to the local fabric.

When you finish your gem, you'll receive bottled water for hydration and tips from your guide on other nearby points of interest. You can continue your afternoon exploring breweries, distilleries or restaurants in the district without worrying about transport.

With a maximum of 10 participants, this small group workshop guarantees personal attention, a relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to ask questions in English as you create your most original memory of Kansas City.
