How much do tickets to the Bronx Zoo cost?

Starting at £20, you can get a Limited Admission ticket for adults (over 13 years old) to visit the Bronx Zoo, but unlike the "Bronx Zoo Admission" ticket, this does not provide all-inclusive, unlimited access to all attractions available on the day of your visit, only admission to the park.
Individual tickets for each attraction are available from around £5, but it's not worth it. If you don't want to miss out on any of the fun, my advice is to spend a little more and buy the Bronx Zoo Admission ticket , which costs £30 for adults. This type of ticket does give you unlimited access to popular permanent exhibits such as Jungle World and Congo Gorilla Forest, as well as temporary exhibits such as the Butterfly Garden and Wild Asia Monorail.
Whichever type of ticket you choose, you will need to buy it online in advance, as you will not be able to enter the zoo without doing so. At the time of purchase, you will need to choose a date and time for your visit to the park.
Can I visit the Bronx Zoo with a tourist card?

Currently, none of the New York tourist passes (Go City All-Inclusive / Explorer, New York Pass, CityPASS, etc.) include admission to the Bronx Zoo.
Current alternatives
- Purchase individual tickets online.
- Free admission on Wednesdays: on Wednesdays, the zoo offers limited admission at no cost; spots are released on Mondays before 5 p.m. and must be reserved online.
- WCS membership: if you plan to visit several zoos or the aquarium, the Wildlife Conservation Society Membership gives you one year of unlimited admission to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and NY Aquarium, as well as discounts on admission.
How can I save on my visit to the Bronx Zoo? Are there any reduced rates?

Although the Bronx Zoo has promotional codes for military personnel and students in New York, most visitors to the park are not eligible to use them. However, this does not mean that families cannot save a little when buying their tickets.
Thanks to reduced rates for certain age groups, adults over 65 (from £22) and children between 3 and 12 (from £16) can access the Bronx Zoo for a little less than adults, which is always good news because you can spend that money on other plans in the Big Apple.
Is admission to the Bronx Zoo free?

Limited Admission to the Bronx Zoo is free all day on Wednesdays. It is a very busy day, especially in autumn and summer, so if you choose this day to visit the park, I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds as much as possible.
Remember that to get into the Bronx Zoo for free on Wednesdays, you also need to book a date and time slot on the park's website.
The rest of the week, only babies under 2 years old can get into the Bronx Zoo for free.
How much does it cost to eat at the Bronx Zoo?

The Bronx Zoo is full of restaurants where you can take a break for lunch during your visit.
This is especially useful if you are visiting the park with your family, so that the children don't miss their meal times or you don't have to leave the zoo early to find a suitable place to eat if they get hungry. Some restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat are:
- Dancing Crane Café: dishes from £9 and snacks from £4
- The Patio: dishes from £8
- Asia Cafe: dishes from £8
- Zoo Bites: snacks from £4
How much does it cost to get to the Bronx Zoo?

Walking is the cheapest way to get around, but the Bronx Zoo is not very centrally located, so if you are a bit far away, you can buy a New York City subway ticket for only about £2.50 to get there quickly.
To get to the Bronx Zoo by subway, just take line 2 or 5 to E. 180th St. You can also take the BxM11 express bus from Manhattan and get off at the park entrance on Bronx River, but the fare is considerably higher than the subway, at around £4.
