Step by Step

If you’re a fan of films and TV series, this TV and film tour of New York will allow you to see Manhattan from a completely different perspective. Over the course of approximately two and a half hours, you’ll explore some of the city’s most cinematic neighbourhoods aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, accompanied by a local actor-guide who’ll reveal anecdotes, filming secrets and interesting facts about the productions shot at each location.

The route takes in such iconic areas as Greenwich Village and SoHo and features over 60 locations linked to films, comedies, dramas and major TV productions. What’s more, the vehicle makes several stops along the way, so you’ll have the chance to get out, stroll around some of the filming locations and take photos at spots you’ll recognise straight away from the screen.

On this journey through New York’s film culture, you’ll see, amongst other things:

  • The ‘Friends’ building: take a closer look at the famous building used as the exterior of Monica, Rachel, Joey and Chandler’s flat in one of television’s most popular sitcoms.
  • Washington Square Park: take a photo next to its famous arch, the setting for productions such as *Girls*, *Glee*, *The Mindy Project*, *Someone Great* and *When Harry Met Sally*.
  • Ghostbusters Fire Station: discover the authentic façade used as the Ghostbusters’ headquarters and one of the most recognisable stops on the tour.
  • Seinfeld locations: discover places linked to the series, including the famous Original Soupman, inspired by one of its most memorable episodes.
  • Succession locations: pass by places such as The Pierre Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, used to depict the exclusive world of the show’s protagonists.
  • Hotels from the movies: see establishments that have featured in films such as *American Hustle*, *Ocean’s 8* and *Home Alone 2*.

Throughout the tour, the guide’s commentary helps you link each street and building to the scenes you’re likely already familiar with. It’s an experience particularly recommended for film and TV fans, but also an entertaining way to explore Manhattan and discover some of its most famous neighbourhoods from a different perspective.

I loved the experience that this tour allowed me to see the city in a different way. I loved being able to visit the sets where great hits were filmed with a guide who is a local actor. It was an experience to come back with your family. 10/10

It was an unforgettable experience. I came with my husband and when he saw the places in The Office he became like a child and asked me to take as many pictures as I could. It was adorable.

I'm a fan of sitcoms. To be able to see the places that appear in Modern Family and the Office series was beautiful to see it in person. Remembering all the crazy things they did on the show made me laugh out loud in the middle of the tour.

To be able to experience what the characters from my series experienced in some way was beautiful. I loved being able to visit the Friends building and see the Ghostbusters Fire Station.
