Step by Step

Embark on a 4-hour scenic tour of both sides of Manhattan. Start by crossing Broadway Avenue to enter Central Park West, where you'll see the Dakota Building and the Strawberry Fields monument dedicated to John Lennon. Next, you'll pass the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the prestigious Columbia University, before heading into Harlem and learning about its influence on African-American music and culture.

Turning east, you'll walk along Fifth Avenue and its famous "Museum Row", admiring such famous facades as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, the Plaza Hotel, Bergdorf Goodman and Tiffany's jewellery store. Your guide will tell you anecdotes about the "Avenue of Millionaires" and reveal architectural and social secrets of these iconic buildings.

The tour will then take you to SoHo and NoHo, leading to the traditional neighbourhoods of Little Italy and Chinatown, where you will feel the legacy of the waves of Italian and Chinese immigrants in the big city. Continue through Union Square, the epicentre of urban activism, and Greenwich Village, with its bohemian atmosphere, to Washington Square Park.

You will then head down to the south of Manhattan to enter the Financial District: you will see Wall Street, the Charging Bull and the National 9/11 Memorial, where your guide will explain the events of 9/11 and show you the imposing reconstructed Freedom Tower. Finally, you'll enjoy 20 minutes in Battery Park, with prime views of the Statue of Liberty before returning to Midtown.

This tour offers a dynamic overview of New York, combining history, culture, economics and architecture in a single package, perfect for getting to know the Big Apple.
