Step by Step

Antelope Canyon is one of the most photogenic sandstone formations in the world. Known for its sinuous walls carved by periodic flooding, Lower Antelope Canyon offers a spectacle of light and shadow that changes with the position of the sun. Rays of light filter through narrow slits, casting bands of gold and reddish hues that dance across the rock walls.

With your Navajo guide you will discover how the forces of water and wind have chiselled the Spiral Rock Arches over millennia. You'll learn Navajo words and the cultural significance of the canyon to the Navajo Nation, as well as anecdotes about explorers and photographers who popularized it.

The trail traverses passages just a couple of metres wide, staircases up to 25ft and natural rock bridges. You'll feel the temperature rise and fall, and the pressure change as you descend more than 4 000 ft above sea level. The walls narrow and expand, offering a new angle to photograph every minute.

This tour is fully guided and lasts approximately one hour inside the canyon, after the hike you will return to the starting point to evaluate the experience and collect your belongings.
