    Overall I loved it: good historical content, modern exhibition, and the Old Sacramento setting adds a lot to it.

    The gold panning demonstration was fun, especially for the children. It is only done "weather permitting", which created some uncertainty for me when planning the visit.

    If you don't have much time, this museum is perfect. You see it, learn about it and then you can move on to another plan in Old Sacramento.
