Step by Step
Start your day with an early morning pick-up in San Jose. As you make your way along Highway 1, your guide will introduce you to the history and geography of the region, allowing you to focus on the scenery without distraction. The initial drive will take you through redwood forests to Santa Cruz, where you'll get a brief glimpse of its iconic boardwalk.
You'll continue along the coast to Castroville and then head into Big Sur paradise, passing unforgettable places like Point Lobos, Garrapata State Park and the legendary Bixby Bridge, where you'll make your first stop for postcard-perfect photos. Every corner offers views of cliffs, crashing waves and the vastness of the Pacific.
In Big Sur you'll have time to stroll among the redwoods at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, and take a refreshment break overlooking places like Nepenthe or Café Kevah, gazing out over the calm coastline. If you wish, you can extend your stay on the Big Sur River or explore a short trail by the sea.
