Experience Highlights

Take a comfortable ground transfer from Kasane, Botswana to Victoria Falls and see the widest 'curtain of water' on the planet on a full-day organised tour. After the walk, enjoy lunch overlooking the roaring Zambezi before free time for a craft market, helipad or stroll around the historic colonial hotel. Return to Kasane at sunset with the joy of having crossed off one of the Seven Natural Wonders.

Step by Step

The day starts early, with pick-up at around 07:30hrs from your accommodation in Kasane. As the vehicle drives through the bush to Kazungula border control, your guide explains immigration formalities and the historical importance of the Zambezi River as the natural line between Botswana and Zimbabwe. The drive takes just over an hour, perfect for spotting elephant or buffalo from the window.

Once in the town of Victoria Falls, you can enter the national park without queuing, thanks to pre-booked entrance tickets. The paved trails allow you to walk along 1.7 km of scenic balconies where the refreshing spray creates permanent rainbows. With the help of your guide, you'll learn why David Livingstone called it "the most beautiful scene I have ever beheld".

By mid-morning, the trail culminates at Danger Point Lookout - a rocky balcony that gives the full postcard view of the 1.7km waterfall. Photographers take the opportunity here to capture the Batoka Canyon, where the Zambezi cascades into a roar that can be heard for miles.

After the walk, a buffet lunch - with meat, salad and vegetarian options - is served at a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the riverine forest. With a full belly, you have some free time (≈1 hr 30 min) to browse through wooden handicrafts or, if you wish, take an optional helicopter flight.

The return trip departs at around 15:30 h. Back in Kasane, it's time to review photos and share impressions as the sun sets in warm tones over the savannah. A full day combining adventure, iconic landscapes and total logistical comfort.

Moments of pure contemplation. But be careful: wear suitable footwear, as the trails can be slippery.

Seeing the water fall, hearing it, feeling it... it's hard to describe. Only that the humidity was soaking you to the bone.
