Step by Step
On arrival, follow the sign "Tickets for Overseas Visitors", show your passport and exchange your digital ticket without going through the general queue. A short landscaped walkway leads to Moat 1, where the main formation is displayed: heavy infantry, chariots and cavalry carved 2,200 years ago. Each warrior has unique facial features, details that your audio guide (or the accompanying trilingual panel) encourages you to discover.
Basic option - Entrance only: explore the three moats and the bronze gallery at your own pace, stopping at elevated viewing platforms to capture panoramic photographs of the army. Between pavilions you will find cafes, official shops and an exhibition on the restoration techniques that restore the figures to their original colour.
Enhanced option - Admission + guided tour: an accredited guide meets you at the main gate and, for two hours, reveals the military strategy of the first emperor, the symbolism of the lost polychromy and the fortuitous discovery of 1974. Afterwards, you can continue on your own in the museum until closing time.
In both cases, take time to visit the Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Centre, where you will see the famous miniature chariots in air-conditioned display cases, cast using alloy techniques that astonished archaeologists.
