Step by Step
Discover first-hand why French croissants are such a favourite. Join your family or friends for this cookery class led by a master pastry chef at a traditional Parisian bakery.
If you consider yourself a foodie, this class is for you. Over the course of about two hours, you’ll make your own pastries whilst learning the secrets behind the fame of French patisserie from an expert pastry chef.
In a small group of around 9 people, you’ll all be close to the master as you make the pastries. At his workbench, he’ll tell you about the different types of flour and the quantities required, so that you too can bake a baguette or a pain au chocolat. The master will explain the importance of the ingredients, how the mixtures are decided upon, and how they’re prepared to bring out the best in their flavour and texture.
He’ll also demonstrate French kneading techniques and the finer points of the baking process. And as you’ll be in a professional bakery, he’ll show you the equipment they use every morning to prepare the products they’ll be selling that day.
Finally, at the end of your visit, you’ll be able to take home a delicious, freshly baked baguette.
This activity is ideal if you’re visiting with children: getting messy is more than allowed, and they’ll have great fun playing at being bakers in a real bakery, because whilst you’re in the bakery, they’ll also be able to watch the bakery team serving customers.

- MM.Excellent everything, I loved the experience.
- ZZ.Lots of goodies! When we finished the tour, I bought some sweets because I had to take something for the day. I didn't find another bakery like it the whole time I was in Paris.
- JJ.Excellent! I loved the baguette I made and brought back to the hotel. The bakery is very warm and very well looked after.
- VV.The place was impeccable, an example of how bread is prepared and made in Paris. I recommend it to appreciate the way of working in another place.
