Step by Step

Start your adventure with an on-time pick-up from your accommodation in Accra or from the Accra Mall (Gate 2). After a comfortable, air-conditioned drive of approximately 3 hours, you will arrive at Cape Coast Castle, erected in 1555. Tour its dungeons, the cannons that defended its walls and the Dalzel Tower, while your guide explains the devastating impact of the Atlantic slave trade.

A few minutes away stands Elmina Castle, the first Portuguese fort on the West African coast (1482). Here, in addition to the slave quarters, you'll stroll through the bustling fishermen's market, witness to local life by the sea.

To recharge your batteries, you'll enjoy a traditional Ghanaian lunch on the beachfront of Cape Coast, interacting with locals and savouring the fresh dishes of the day. This gastronomic break will allow you to discover the hospitality and authentic flavours of the coast.

The final leg takes you to Kakum National Park, home to a 350m canopy walkway of hanging walkways over the rainforest. Walk 30m high through ancient trees, spot wildlife and enjoy spectacular views before heading back to Accra.

With a completely private service, your guide will adapt the pace to your interests and make this an unforgettable trip, full of history, scenery and Ghanaian culture.
