Step by Step
This full day tour of Kyoto will take you to discover historic temples and iconic landscapes in the comfort of organised transport and the guidance of a professional local driver who knows Japanese culture inside out.
The first stop is the Yanagiya Kannon (Yangtani) temple, where you will have about 90 minutes to get to know this spiritual space surrounded by nature and tranquillity.
Afterwards, the tour continues to the Arashiyama area, one of Kyoto's most beloved destinations, famous for the Togetsukyo Bridge, the Bamboo Forest and its traditional temples. Here you will have 3 hours of free time with options such as taking the Sagano Train or relaxing in a Japanese foot bath.
In the afternoon, the tour moves to the Kiyomizudera area, where you can visit temples such as Kouji, the colourful Yasaka Koshindo Hall and historic streets such as Ninenzaka, with traditional shops and a uniquely designed Starbucks coffee shop. A perfect place to stroll around, discover photographic corners and immerse yourself in the most authentic Kyoto.
The itinerary is designed for you to enjoy a full day: leaving early and returning in the evening, avoiding crowds at some temples and with the possibility to tailor your experience according to what appeals to you at each stop.
