Step by Step

Embark on an unforgettable day departing from the historic centre of Valladolid, where our air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up for an approximately 45-minute drive to Chichen Itza. Upon arrival, a certified guide in Spanish or English will introduce you to the rich Mayan civilisation, explaining the astronomical function of the pyramid of Kukulkan and the mysteries of the ball court.

After a two-hour tour of the archaeological site, there will be time for you to explore some of the less crowded corners on your own: the columns, the observatories and the remains of ancient ceremonial platforms. This combination of guided exhibitions and free time allows you to capture your own photographs and feel the energy of the site.

Next, we will head to the Xkeken cenote, known for its spectacular stalactite vault and crystal clear waters in a cavern setting. After a 40 minute swim, we will continue to Xcajum, an open cenote whose vegetation-covered walls form a natural paradise ideal for a second dive of about 50 minutes.

At the intermediate stop, you will enjoy an authentic buffet lunch at a local restaurant called Mi Lindo Yucatan, where you can enjoy traditional dishes such as cochinita, relleno negro or lime soup, accompanied by soft drinks (optional). This gastronomic break will recharge your energy before returning to Valladolid, where you will conclude the tour with transfers back to your hotel.

As soon as I entered Chichen Itza I knew it was worth the visit. And the swim in the cenote was the finishing touch.

Perfect for combining culture and nature. I would have liked more free time in Chichen Itza to admire on my own.

Good excursion, although the transfer times are long. But that's how it is: from Valladolid to the sites.

The guide gave us clear explanations about the Mayas. On the other hand, the music on the bus was a bit loud on the way back.
