Experience Highlights

ure yourself in a sea of colour with your tickets to The Tulip Barn, a huge tulip garden in the heart of the Dutch bulb region near Amsterdam. Here you don't just look at the flowers from afar: you walk among almost 200 varieties of tulips, surrounded by endless rows of reds, yellows, pinks and purples.

The grounds are designed as a photo paradise, with multiple facilities and settings scattered throughout the garden: you can pose next to a golden cow, climb on a piano among the flowers or play with different viewpoints to get that perfect portrait among the tulips, without disturbing the farmers' production fields.

After your stroll, you can relax in the cosy conservatory with café or on the sun terrace overlooking the fields, while the children enjoy the outdoor play areas. If you fall in love with the colours, you can also buy bunches of fresh tulips to take a little piece of spring home with you.

  • Stroll among millions of tulips in bloom and almost 200 different varieties.
  • Enjoy a garden designed for photos, with original scenery and props.
  • Relax in the conservatory and on the terrace and let the kids play outdoors

Step by Step

The Tulip Barn is one of the most colourful floral experiences in the Bollenstreek region, and your tickets give you access to a large tulip garden designed to be enjoyed and photographed, without stepping into the farmers' delicate production fields. From the moment you enter, you are surrounded by a veritable mosaic of colours made up of hundreds of varieties of tulips, planted in patterns that are renewed each season so that every year the landscape is different.

Unlike other fields where you are not allowed to enter, here you can walk between the rows of tulips in peace and quiet, stand in the middle of the rows and look for the perfect angle. The whole space is full of photographic installations and accessories: from eye-catching figures to curious elements such as pianos or strategically placed benches, designed to give you the best photos of your trip to Holland. It's the ideal place for Instagram lovers, families or couples looking for a special setting.

The experience doesn't stop at the flowers: after a stroll through the garden, you can head to the glass conservatory, which has been converted into a cosy café serving coffee, cold drinks and simple dishes made with local produce. On sunny days, the outdoor terrace offers direct views of the tulip fields, creating the perfect setting to relax for a while while the children have fun in the outdoor play areas, with structures designed for them to run around and play in a safe environment.

During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to buy fresh tulips and other flower-related products, ideal as souvenirs or gifts. In this way, you not only enjoy the fields, but also contribute to a farm that offers a respectful alternative to uncontrolled tourism in the production fields, protecting the work of the local growers.

All in all, The Tulip Barn is a perfect choice if you want to experience the tulip season in a comfortable, photogenic and familiar way, with time to walk around, take photos, relax and, if you wish, complete your day with a bike or car tour of the surrounding area. It's an ideal stop whether you're staying in Amsterdam or visiting Keukenhof and looking to add a different experience among the tulips.

Highly recommended if you are in Amsterdam and want to see tulips in a more "immersed" way in the landscape. Of course, no drones (it is clearly indicated), so you have to enjoy it on foot and take it easy.

I loved the terrace overlooking the fields, we spent some time relaxing. The children also had their area to play, so it was a great family plan.

I quite enjoyed it, but keep in mind that it is close to Hillegom and you have to be organised to get there. Once you're there, the digital entrance goes smoothly and everything is signposted.

We went with a friend and ended up with a full mobile phone gallery. The photo stages are spread out, so it's not all concentrated in one spot.
