Step by Step
You will be picked up from your accommodation in either Foz do Iguaçu (Brazilian side) or Puerto Iguazu (Argentine side). A scenic transfer will take you directly to Iguazu National Park on the Argentine side, where your guide will introduce you to the history and geography of this natural wonder.
Your first stop will be the Devil's Throat walkway, the largest and most spectacular waterfall in the park. An internal park train brings you to the lookout at 30-minute intervals, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the views and the roaring waterfalls for about 30 minutes.
Next, you'll explore the Upper Circuit (approx. 1 hr 30 min), with six viewpoints offering panoramic views of the islands and both the Argentinian and Brazilian falls. If the day is sunny, you may even catch a glimpse of the famous rainbow in the spray.
After the Argentinean experience, you'll cross the border again (remember your ID, passport or licence; keep your ecotourism tax receipt to avoid double charges) and enter the Brazilian side, where you'll walk for 40-60 minutes on trails in front of a group of 20 waterfalls. Here you'll discover local flora and fauna, including quatis and tropical birds.
