Step by Step
Experience the history and spirituality of Budapest with a visit to St. Stephen's Basilica, one of the country's most impressive architectural gems. Standing 96 metres high and with its imposing dome, this basilica is one of Hungary's most important religious monuments.
Inside the church you can marvel at its neoclassical architecture, imposing columns and gilded ornamentation. Dedicated to the first king of Hungary, St. Stephen I, the basilica houses his most venerated relic: his mummified right hand.
If you choose the full ticket, you will also have access to the Treasury, where liturgical objects of great historical and artistic value are kept, and to the Dome, which you can climb to enjoy a panoramic terrace with one of the best views of Budapest.
Tickets are queue-free, which means you'll avoid waiting at the ticket office. Simply present your digital or printed voucher at the Szent István tér 2 ticket office to receive your physical ticket, and then head to the basilica, located directly opposite.
