Step by Step
This itinerary lasts around 8 hours and takes you to the famous Amalfi Coast. You’ll set off from Naples in a comfortable vehicle to visit various spots along this unique coastline. You can choose from several options to tailor the excursion to your preferences. You can join a group of around 20 people accompanied by a guide, or you can opt for a private excursion. With the private options, you can have just a driver, or add the services of a guide if your group consists of more than 7 people.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll visit the following iconic spots on the Amalfi Coast and have free time to explore at your own pace:
- Positano – Known for the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (with its dome covered in colourful majolica tiles), Marina Grande beach and the numerous bars and restaurants in the town centre.
- Amalfi – The town that gives its name to this stretch of coastline. Here, it’s well worth visiting the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea (tickets must be purchased separately), the picturesque Valle dei Mulini and the Arsenal, where the ships of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi were built. If you wish, you can also take a boat trip for an additional charge.
- Ravello – A charming village known for its beautiful sea views, stately villas and the music and culture festival held every summer. In the historic centre, you can buy local specialities such as ceramics or limoncello. If you wish to visit Villa Rufolo, you’ll need to pay an additional fee.
The Amalfi Coast is characterised by its steep slopes, stairways and houses clinging to the hillsides. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and footwear. In summer, it is recommended that you wear a hat and apply sun cream.
