Experience Highlights

Embark on a 2-hour off-road adventure along the Costa degli Dei and discover cliffs, valleys and medieval towers without leaving Tropea. The tour starts from the rental point in front of the harbour: there you choose your helmet, receive a safety briefing and set off on the scenic trails with a guide.

The quads are easy to handle; the route winds between dirt tracks and viewpoints where the view of the Tyrrhenian Sea is breathtaking. At the end, a toast with a local aperitif is waiting for you to round off the experience.

  • Book your quad now and guarantee a very small group departure.

Step by Step

The engine roars gently as you leave the asphalt of Tropea and enter a patchwork of vineyards, olive groves and abandoned mills. The guide leads the way along ancient mule tracks carved into the volcanic rock: the suspension absorbs every bump and, after a few minutes, the first viewpoint overlooking the islet of Santa Maria dell'Isola comes into view. A brief pause to breathe in the salty air, adjust your helmet and shoot your camera.

Back on the road, you cross the pine forest of Capo Vaticano; at every bend a different shade of blue appears. Your guide shares legends of Saracen pirates as you ascend towards the imposing Marrana Tower, a 15th century defensive bastion. Here, the panorama opens out over the whole of the Coast of the Gods, and it is easy to understand why the locals consider it the most beautiful balcony in Calabria.

The road becomes rougher on the way to Monte Poro. The quad climbs effortlessly and, at the top, you are surprised by a natural amphitheatre of green hills that merge with the sea. A burst of thyme and wild rosemary accompanies the last few metres to the farmhouse where an aperitif of regional products awaits: homemade bread, soft 'nduja and a glass of fresh Cirò wine.

With the sun going down, the descent offers the perfect golden light for the final photo. In just two hours you will have explored hidden coves, centuries-old towers and picture-postcard viewpoints, returning to Tropea with an adrenaline rush and Mediterranean-scented skin.
