Step by Step

This full-day excursion takes you to Japan's most sought-after sight: Mount Fuji reflected in the lakes of the Kawaguchi area. Departing in the morning and returning in the late afternoon, it is a day designed to make the most of each stop without rushing, with a coordinated vehicle and timetable. The tour operates daily and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

The first stop will be at Arakurayama Sengen Park. From here you will enjoy one of the most panoramic views of Fuji, with its pagoda and, in season, a frame of cherry or maple trees that turns the photo into a work of art. Be prepared to walk a few stretches and climb some stairs to the viewpoint.

Then head for Oshino Hakkai, a collection of eight crystal-clear springs that emerge from the melting Fuji snowmelt. Stroll among traditional cottages, taste the fresh water and discover why they call it the "Jiuzhaigou at the foot of Fuji".

The route continues to Lake Kawaguchi. In maple season (approx. 26 Oct-20 Nov), visit the Maple Corridor, a natural corridor of red leaves that is pure Japanese romance; outside of this time, the plan takes you to Oishi Park, with gardens that change colour according to the season and front-facing views of Fuji.

The finishing touch comes at the West Lake Healing Reagan Course, where you'll get to know a village of gasshō houses. Facing Fuji and amidst traditional architecture, you'll have the perfect setting for your last photos of the day.

Depending on the season, the itinerary may include experiences at Fuji-Q Highland (such as the Shining Star Ferris Wheel or Naruto-Ninja Gym) and/or a visit to Kitaguchi Hongū Fuji Sengen Shrine. Plus, you'll enjoy a special lunch included and take home a golden turtle amulet as a gift - a perfect souvenir to remember the trip by.

  • 10:30-11:40 Arakurayama Sengen Park (≈70 min)
  • 12:10-13:20 Oshino Hakkai (≈70 min)
  • 14:00-14:40 Oishi Park or Maple Corridor (≈40 min, depending on season)
  • 15:00-16:00 West Lake Healing Reagan Course - Gasshō Village (≈60 min, admission included)
  • 18:00 Return to Shin-Marunouchi Building / Shinjuku MODE Gakuen

Travelling in comfort to viewpoints and villages is a luxury. Tasty food and friendly charm. Only the bus was noisy on a slight bend.
