Step by Step
Start your adventure from central Tokyo (JR Tokyo or Shinjuku station, depending on which point you choose). After meeting your driver/guide (in English), you'll set off for Lake Kawaguchiko to capture that iconic photo with Mount Fuji in the background, next to the Lawson shop - a popular spot for visitors.
Next, enjoy a unique cultural experience on the lakeside: learn about and savour a real matcha brewed in front of Fuji while soaking up the surroundings.
Afterwards, take a ride on the Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, which lifts you above Kachikachi Mountain and offers panoramic views of the lake and the mountain. If the ropeway is undergoing maintenance (usually between 10 and 20 December), they will take you to the popular Samurai Ship as an alternative, or reimburse you for a portion of the cost.
The journey continues to Oshino Hakkai, an enclave of traditional beauty with eight crystal-clear ponds, houses of classical Japanese architecture and slowly turning watermills. All with Fuji as a backdrop, as if you were stepping back in time.
The return is scheduled for around 15:20 and leaves you back in Tokyo at approximately 17:40, ending a day full of scenery, culture, history and tranquillity.
